Croatia's Ministry of Finance announced that Tomislav Coric has taken over as Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance from Marko Primorac, who has been nominated to become a Vice President of the European Investment Bank. The formal handover included a report summarising the ministry’s organisation, key recent results and achievements, and the main challenges ahead. Coric, formerly a vice governor of the Croatian National Bank, signalled continuity in fiscal policy, pointing to Croatia’s macroeconomic performance as a reason to avoid major shifts, and identified cross-government coordination over the next two and a half years as a central challenge.
