The State Bank of Pakistan reported that workers’ remittances totaled USD 4.3 billion in May 2026, increasing by 20.2 percent from the previous month and by 15.4 percent from a year earlier. For July to May of FY26, cumulative remittances rose 9.2 percent to USD 38.1 billion, compared with USD 34.9 billion in the same period last year. May inflows were mainly sourced from Saudi Arabia at USD 1,025 million, the United Arab Emirates at USD 1,006.6 million, the United Kingdom at USD 645.5 million, and the United States of America at USD 349.8 million.
