Taiwan's Financial Supervisory Commission reported that 92 Employment Gold Cards were approved in the financial field in the first half of 2026, nearly 30% more than the 71 approved in the same period of 2025. The increase followed a December 2025 revision that added asset management, including multi-family offices, to the key industries covered by the qualification criteria. A cumulative 1,005 financial-field cards had been approved by the end of June 2026, representing about 6% of the 17,365 Employment Gold Cards issued across all professional fields. The card combines work and residency permissions, is valid for one to three years and allows eligible foreign professionals to change employers.
