The Seychelles Financial Services Authority has warned that a purported virtual asset service provider licence displayed by CRYPTOF is forged. The authority did not issue the certificate, and CRYPTOF is neither known to the regulator nor authorized to provide virtual asset services in or from Seychelles under the Virtual Asset Service Providers Act, 2024. The forged certificate uses the authority’s name and a similar emblem and bears licence number VASP/2023/00001. It claims to authorize CRYPTOF from Jan. 1, 2023, through Dec. 31, 2029. Investors should verify firms against the authority’s published list of licensed and regulated entities before conducting transactions or sharing personal information.
