National Bank of Moldova expands cooperation with Romania's State Mint on commemorative coin issuance

The National Bank of Moldova conducted a working visit to Romania's State Mint to broaden cooperation in currency issuance, focusing on expanding joint projects and exchanging experience and good practices. Discussions centred on current and planned commemorative and jubilee coin programmes, including streamlining collaboration processes, improving operational efficiency, and using coin issues to promote the cultural heritage of the Republic of Moldova. The National Bank of Moldova noted that the partnership spans more than 30 years and has supported the production of both circulation and commemorative coins, and highlighted a recent joint initiative that brought a historic coin-minting press to Chisinau for exhibition at the National Bank of Moldova museum during the Global Money Week event.
