The Swiss National Bank (SNB) announced that Moneyverse, a new visitor centre dedicated to the topic of money, will open in Berne on 10 April 2026. The centre will be located in the Kaiserhaus in central Berne and is being developed in cooperation with the Bern History Museum. The SNB has entered into a strategic partnership with the Bern History Museum, commissioning it to manage curation, outreach and operations. Moneyverse is positioned as a contribution to economic literacy and will explore money from four perspectives, historical, economic, social and personal, while also offering a look into how the SNB works. The Kaiserhaus has been undergoing renovation and modernisation since 2018 under historical preservation requirements, with the reopened building and Moneyverse both scheduled to open on 10 April 2026.
