The Financial Superintendency of Colombia has placed Bloom Crowdfunding S.A., a collaborative financing company, under administration to restore its financial, capital, operational and corporate governance conditions and support the continuation of its authorized activities. The measure will remain in force for up to one year and may be extended once for no longer than the same period. The action follows an assessment by the Financial Institutions Guarantee Fund, known as Fogafín, that viable alternatives could restore the company’s position. The measure may be lifted early if the underlying difficulties are resolved, subject to Fogafín’s opinion. If they are not resolved within the permitted period, Bloom Crowdfunding will be dissolved and liquidated. Fogafín must submit an implementation program within two months of the resolution taking effect. The circumstances are specific to Bloom Crowdfunding and do not directly affect other supervised entities or projects financed through the company, while those projects’ obligations to contributors remain in force.
