The Central Bank of Iraq’s Nineveh branch announced the successful completion of Financial Inclusion Week activities held from 27 April to 5 May 2026 across the governorates of Nineveh, Kirkuk and Salah al-Din. The update relates to outreach events aimed at promoting financial inclusion and broadening its reach across the local financial system. Banks and electronic payment companies operating within those governorates took part in the activities. The initiative was presented as a means of spreading financial inclusion concepts, expanding its application, supporting economic stability and enabling different segments of society to integrate into the financial system.
