The Central Bank of Chile held a meeting between its President, Rosanna Costa, and the President of the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), Ilan Goldfajn, in Santiago on the sidelines of the IDB Annual Meeting of Governors. The discussions focused on developments in the international economy, progress in bringing inflation under control, growth prospects, and economic opportunities linked to regional integration. The meeting also covered activities planned for the Central Bank of Chile’s centenary this year. Participants included the Central Bank’s Vice President Stephany Griffith-Jones and board members Alberto Naudon, Luis Felipe Céspedes and Claudio Soto, alongside IDB Vice President Gabriel Yorio, and referenced themes from the Monetary Policy Report published earlier in the week, including the convergence of inflation to target and the resolution of macroeconomic imbalances.
