The Central Bank of Nicaragua published its 2024 financial-year results, reporting a profit of NIO 2,452.5 million and marking the second consecutive year of net income. The central bank attributed the outcome to higher operating income and expenditures to cover its budget and the issuance of the national currency, the córdoba. It also stated that the result improves its equity position and supports stronger national saving and better key financial indicators, and it included a summary of its income statement for 2023 and 2024.
