The People's Bank of China announced it will begin issuing a three-coin Wuyishan National Park commemorative coin series from 3 April 2026, comprising one bimetallic copper-alloy coin and two precious metal proof coins. All three are designated as legal tender of the People’s Republic of China, and the bimetallic coin will circulate at par with existing renminbi of the same denomination. The bimetallic copper-alloy commemorative coin has a face value of CNY 10, a 27 mm diameter and an issuance volume of 50 million pieces, with provincial allocation tables and public anti-counterfeiting features published in annexes. The precious metal set consists of a 3 g round gold proof coin (CNY 50 face value, 18 mm diameter, 99.9% fineness, maximum mintage 10,000) and a 30 g round silver proof coin (CNY 10 face value, 40 mm diameter, 99.9% fineness, maximum mintage 30,000); the coins will be minted by Shenzhen Guobao Mint Co., Ltd and distributed by China Gold Coin Group Co., Ltd. Distribution of the bimetallic issue will be conducted through a reservation-and-exchange process, with operational arrangements set out in the published work plan.
