The Parliament of Montenegro has reappointed Zorica Kalezić as vice governor of the Central Bank of Montenegro, following a proposal by Governor Irena Radović. Kalezić has served as vice governor since December 2019 and has worked at the central bank since 2007. Her responsibilities have included modernizing Montenegro’s payment system and supporting European integration. She coordinated the country’s accession to the Single Euro Payments Area payment schemes and implementation of the TIPS Clone national instant payment infrastructure across all 11 banks operating in Montenegro. Kalezić also leads the negotiating working group for Chapter 17 on Economic and Monetary Union.
