The Central Bank of Nepal held the ninth meeting of the Nepal Rastra Bank and Reserve Bank of India Joint Technical Coordination Committee (JTCC) in Kathmandu, continuing the bilateral coordination mechanism for technical dialogue on monetary and financial sector matters. The agenda covered facilitation of cross-border digital payment transactions between Nepal and India and other contemporary issues, alongside discussions on adopting Reserve Bank of India policy practices on monetary policy, liquidity management and foreign exchange management. Participants also reviewed implementation of items agreed at the eighth JTCC meeting, and the Reserve Bank of India delivered presentations on the overall state of the Indian economy and developments in India’s payment system.
