The Central Bank of the UAE announced that 1,200 UAE nationals have graduated from the third cohort of the Ethraa Emiratisation programme for the financial sector. The programme is designed to prepare Emirati talent for roles across the banking, financial and insurance sectors and has now trained and qualified 4,750 UAE nationals since its launch in 2022. The release states that Ethraa graduated 1,056 participants in 2024, 1,103 in 2025 and 1,200 in 2026. It also highlighted training in areas including banking services, investment, risk management and financial technology, alongside specialised tracks such as Financial Risk Management, Future Tech Leaders and EXETRA. At the ceremony, 27 top graduates were recognised and 60 People of Determination who joined training programmes delivered with the Zayed Authority for People of Determination were also honoured. The event also included new cooperation agreements aimed at expanding the talent pipeline. These included an MoU with Takamul on technical cooperation and digital solutions for professional programmes, an agreement with the Department of Government Enablement to train 2,000 UAE nationals in Al Ain over two years, a Central Bank of the UAE partnership with the Emirates Council for Balanced Development to support employment in villages and remote areas over three years, and an agreement with the Ministry of Economy and Tourism to launch two specialised programmes for fresh graduates and experienced professionals. The programme currently has 1,391 participants expected to graduate next year.
