Norway's Department of Finance has appointed the members of Finanstilsynet’s board with effect from 1 April 2025, reflecting governance changes under the new Financial Supervisory Authority Act entering into force on that date. Under the new framework, the board will be responsible for individual cases where the ministry’s power to issue instructions is restricted, while the director will continue to lead the authority and retain overall responsibility for its operations. Professor Finn Arnesen will continue as chair, with Professor Giuditta Cordero-Moss appointed as deputy chair. The other board members are Helge Eide, Ella Getz Wold, Jens-Henrik Lien, Tonje Skjelbostad and Tina Steinsvik Sund. Appointments run to 31 March 2029, except for Cordero-Moss whose term runs to 31 March 2027.
