The State Bank of Vietnam published remarks by Deputy Governor Pham Tien Dung at Vietcombank’s 2026 Employee Representatives Conference, commending the bank’s business performance and its focus on workplace democracy and employee welfare. The speech set out priority areas for Vietcombank to maintain its leading position while implementing the conference’s 2026 resolution. The priorities included strengthening financial capacity, consolidating the capital base, tightening control of asset quality, and meeting safety indicators aligned with international standards. The Deputy Governor also called for renewed trade union activity focused on employees, a faster end-to-end digital transformation spanning technology, data and people, stronger supervisory roles for the People’s Inspection Board, and continued training and development to improve workforce quality. The conference brought together 465 delegates representing more than 22,000 employees across Vietcombank, with management encouraged to use the forum’s dialogue and employee feedback to support implementation through 2026.
