The New Brunswick Financial and Consumer Services Commission published an annual indexation update under the Injury Regulation to the maximum amount recoverable for non-pecuniary loss for minor personal injuries resulting from a motor vehicle accident. Effective 1 January 2025, the cap increases by 2.2% from CAD 9,513.14 to CAD 9,722.42, based on the Consumer Price Index for New Brunswick. The updated amount applies to minor personal injuries caused in motor vehicle accidents occurring in New Brunswick on or after 1 January 2025.
