The Angola Capital Markets Commission has signed a cooperation protocol with the State Intelligence and Security Service, creating a framework for mutual cooperation and information sharing within each institution’s legal and statutory remit. The stated aim is to strengthen the exchange of information to prevent and combat money laundering, terrorist financing and the financing of the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction, alongside training and capacity-building for staff. The arrangement is also intended to support investor protection and the integrity of Angola’s financial system by helping prevent financial risks and promoting the efficiency of the securities market.
