The Algeria Market Authority has granted the first license in Algeria to a university venture capital investment company, approving the Société d’Investissement Financier de l’Université d’Alger 3 with capital of DZD 188.8 million. The approval follows the completion of the regulatory framework for collective investment undertakings in venture capital and establishes a regulated vehicle focused on university-linked innovation financing.
