Argentina’s Securities Commission (CNV) president Roberto E. Silva delivered a virtual closing address at El Cronista’s CFO Summit, outlining the regulator’s agenda to strengthen transparency and confidence in Argentina’s capital markets. He highlighted the CNV’s regulatory work on an automatic public offering approval regime, tokenisation, the framework for virtual asset service providers (PSAVs), and tools intended to expand financing options for small and medium-sized enterprises. In a live, moderated “Mano a mano” segment, Silva linked the CNV’s recent rulemaking to a broader effort with the national government’s economic team to modernise the capital markets regulatory framework and align it with high international standards. He pointed to the automatic public offering regime and the PSAV and tokenisation rules as examples of “innovative” regulations that, in his view, position Argentina at the forefront of the region on these topics.
