The Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions has published registration details and a detailed agenda for a virtual Industry Day on June 4, 2026, following its planned Quarterly Release Day on May 21, 2026. The event is intended to let stakeholders engage with OSFI experts on quarterly regulatory releases and announcements tied to the risks identified in the Annual Risk Outlook 2026-2027. Planned sessions cover a draft revised Guideline B-2 on large exposures for small and medium-sized banks (SMSBs), including removal of the existing 1994 guideline and application to Category I and II SMSBs; proposed 2027 updates to the Capital and Liquidity Treatment of Crypto-asset Exposures (Banking) Guideline; draft amendments to Pillar 3 IRRBB disclosures and Guideline B-12; and proposed updates to the Draft 2027 Liquidity Adequacy Requirements Guideline alongside a new draft Internal Liquidity Adequacy Assessment Process Guideline. The liquidity session is also slated to discuss a planned Quantitative Impact Study, measures of relief or clarity raised by industry, and a phased implementation approach for ILAAP in support of publishing and implementing changes in 2027. Other sessions will address revised Guides to Intervention for deposit-taking institutions, progress on the approvals framework for targeted new entrants, Data Collection Modernization, and OSFI's transition to Open Government. The virtual event runs from 11:00 a.m. to 3:55 p.m. ET and will be available in both official languages through simultaneous interpretation. Registration closes at 12 p.m. ET on June 3, 2026.
