Dominican Republic's Pensions Superintendency (SIPEN) reported that it has trained more than 600 employees of the General Directorate of Customs through specialised pension briefings as part of its mass education programme. The sessions were designed to give Customs staff a foundational understanding of how the Dominican Pension System operates and its benefits. The training was delivered by Larissa Llibre, head of SIPEN’s User Service Department, and forms part of a programme launched with Customs in May 2025 linked to obtaining the “Here We Know About Pensions” seal. To qualify for the seal, interested organisations must ensure at least 70% of their staff successfully complete a SIPEN training option, either the in-person “Here We Know About Pensions” talk or the virtual course “Learn about the Dominican Pension System”.
