The Central Bank of the Republic of China (Taiwan) released its latest foreign exchange reserves data, reporting reserves of USD 602.55bn at the end of December 2025, up USD 2.76bn from the end of the previous month. The month-on-month change was attributed to returns from foreign exchange reserves management and exchange rate movements of other reserve currencies against the USD. The market value of securities investment and NTD deposits held by foreign portfolio investors totalled USD 1,149.9bn at end-December 2025, equivalent to 191% of foreign exchange reserves. The next dissemination is scheduled for 16:20 on February 5, 2026.
