The National Bank of Georgia announced that President Mikheil Kavelashvili has approved Natia Turnava’s nomination, submitted by the NBG Board, to serve as Governor. The Board’s nomination decision was unanimous. Turnava had been First Vice-Governor and Acting Governor since June 2023 and has served on the NBG Board since June 2022. The release notes she is the first woman to serve as Governor of the National Bank of Georgia.
