The International Association of Insurance Supervisors has appointed Gerry Cross as its next Secretary General, effective June 15, 2026. Cross will lead the Secretariat, oversee the association’s strategic and operational activities and support the Executive Committee in advancing its priorities for globally consistent insurance supervision. Cross joins from the Central Bank of Ireland, where he is Director, Capital Markets and Funds. He previously served on the IAIS Executive Committee and held roles with several European supervisory authorities. Cross will succeed Jonathan Dixon, who will remain as a special adviser until August 2026 to support the transition.
