The National Bank of Denmark published statistical analysis indicating that the average administration margin on Danish households’ mortgage loans, stable at around 0.80% since 2022, is expected to fall following announced margin reductions by several mortgage credit institutions. Realkredit Danmark, Totalkredit, Jyske Realkredit and Nordea Kredit have announced lower administration margins for selected mortgage loan types. The revised margins generally apply to new loans, while Totalkredit and Nordea Kredit will also apply lower margins to existing customers. The lower pricing is expected to be visible in the average administration margin from July 2026 once all changes have taken effect, with the average also influenced by households’ choice of loan type and characteristics such as collateral type, loan-to-value ratio, interest rate fixation and amortisation.
