Mexico's National Banking and Securities Commission (CNBV) published its quarterly Financial Saving and Financing report with figures through December 2024, alongside a public dataset covering statistics across Mexico’s financial system intermediation channels. The accompanying database provides detailed breakdowns of financial saving components, including intermediary funding, holdings of fixed income securities and fiduciary exchange-traded certificates, and external saving, as well as financing components such as credit portfolios, domestic debt issuance and fiduciary exchange-traded certificates, and external financing. As of the fourth quarter of 2024, total financial saving (domestic and external) stood at 92.6% of GDP, equivalent to MXN 32.7 trillion, while total financing reached 95.7% of GDP, or MXN 33.8 trillion; domestic financing to the private sector was 36.6% of GDP in December 2024.
