The Committee on Economic and Monetary Affairs announced that its members will hold an exchange of views on 23 June with European Central Bank Executive Board member Philip Lane, European Commission Directorate-General for Economic and Financial Affairs Director-General Maarten Verwey and Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development Policy Studies Research Branch Director Asa Johansson on the economic and fiscal implications in Europe of the Middle East crisis, covering growth and inflation prospects, policy measures to address rising energy prices and monetary policy responses.
