The Brazilian Superintendence of Private Insurance (SUSEP) took part in a São Paulo meeting with women chief executives from the insurance market, the third edition of an event organised by Prudential of Brazil CEO Patrícia Freitas, to facilitate dialogue between the supervisor and female leaders in the sector. SUSEP was represented by Directors Jessica Bastos and Júlia Normande, Ombudsman Aline Vieira and Marcia Calvano, coordinator of the Superintendence’s technical advisory office. Normande highlighted the value of direct engagement to address issues raised by supervised market participants and indicated an intention to hold more topic-focused discussions with specific groups. Freitas cited agenda items including sector expansion, the new Insurance Law, Opin, technological modernisation and greater use of data, while Bastos noted the discussion generated ideas for projects for the next year.
