The National Bank of Serbia has published the results of its quarterly survey on banks’ lending activity, together with the questionnaire and methodological explanations. The survey has been conducted since early 2014 and is intended to support assessment of credit activity and related policy decisions. Participation is voluntary, but almost all banks take part, supporting coverage across all segments of the credit market and the reliability of the data. The methodology is aligned with the survey used by euro area central banks, with adjustments for Serbia’s credit market. The results are intended to inform monetary and macroprudential policy, government economic policy, banks’ credit standards and lending conditions, and the assessment of financing options by businesses and households.
