Hong Kong’s Financial Services and the Treasury Bureau announced that the Financial Secretary, exercising delegated powers under the Mandatory Provident Fund Schemes Ordinance, has reappointed Ms Cynthia Hui Wai-yee as Chief Operating Officer and Executive Director of the Mandatory Provident Fund Schemes Authority (MPFA) for three years from February 3, 2026 to February 2, 2029. Ms Hui joined the MPFA in 2006, was first appointed as an Executive Director in 2008, and became Chief Operating Officer in 2023. The Bureau attributed her recent term to supporting implementation of the eMPF Platform and elevating governance standards for MPF trustees and intermediaries, and noted the MPFA’s statutory role in regulating and supervising the Mandatory Provident Fund system.
