The Hong Kong Monetary Authority published Hong Kong’s latest official foreign currency reserve assets figures, reporting reserves of USD 439.2 billion as at end-February 2026, up from USD 435.6 billion at end-January 2026. No unsettled foreign exchange contracts were recorded at either end-February or end-January 2026. The USD 439.2 billion total is stated to be over five times the currency in circulation and around 38% of Hong Kong dollar M3. The HKMA also set out its March 2026 schedule for Exchange Fund data releases, comprising four monthly press releases: SDDS International Reserves (6 March), SDDS Analytical Accounts of the Central Bank (13 March), SDDS Template on International Reserves and Foreign Currency Liquidity (31 March), and the Exchange Fund Abridged Balance Sheet and Currency Board Account (31 March).
