The Central Bank of Libya said Governor Naji Mohammed Issa met De La Rue on the sidelines of the International Monetary Fund and World Bank Spring Meetings to follow up on implementation of the bank’s currency printing plan for new LYD 5, LYD 10 and LYD 20 denominations and on agreed shipment timings to support timely domestic liquidity supply ahead of Eid al-Adha, while De La Rue also presented an award recognizing the LYD 20 banknote as the High Security Printing EMEA forum’s Best Banknote Design in the World 2025.

The Central Bank of Libya reviewed with De La Rue the printing and shipment schedule for new LYD 5, LYD 10 and LYD 20 banknotes to help ensure liquidity supply ahead of Eid al-Adha. De La Rue also presented an award recognizing the LYD 20 note as Best Banknote Design in the World 2025.
