The Vietnam State Securities Commission’s Securities Practitioner Certification Examination Council has opened the application window for round I of the 2026 securities practitioner certification exam, with the exam planned to take place in Ho Chi Minh City in April 2026. Applications and exam-fee payments are accepted from 24 March 2026 through 9 April 2026. Candidates can submit dossiers either in person or by post to the State Securities Commission’s one-stop unit in Hanoi, with postal submissions time-stamped by the postmark for deadline purposes. From 2026, the exam fee is VND 1,000,000 per candidate per certificate type (covering new and retake candidates across three certificate types), and the pass threshold is at least 60% correct answers in each part of both exam sections, with the same 60% threshold applying to partial retakes. The council will not provide re-marking of computer-based multiple-choice tests, and candidates may submit a judicial record card within 20 days after results are published on the State Securities Commission’s portal, failing which the candidate must retake the exam. Further exam-related information will be published on the State Securities Commission and Securities Research and Training Center websites.
