The Central Bank of Egypt has conducted its annual drill to test its Business Continuity Plans and Business Continuity Management System, simulating a normal working day operated from alternative sites and branches connected to the Disaster Recovery site. The exercise was organized by the Risk Management Sector in collaboration with the Information Technology Sector and supporting departments, and was coordinated with internal and external stakeholders. It covered pre-determined and potential disruption and threat scenarios within the approved business continuity scope to assess institutional readiness and the ability of alternative and disaster recovery sites to sustain the Central Bank of Egypt’s activities, services, and critical transactions during emergencies.
