Banknotes in circulation rose EUR 1.519 billion to EUR 1.622 trillion, current accounts fell EUR 5.178 billion to EUR 175.038 billion, and liabilities to euro area residents denominated in euro declined EUR 10.400 billion, driven by a EUR 10.757 billion fall in general government deposits.
