The Argentina Securities Commission (CNV) reported that its vice president, Sonia Salvatierra, attended the International Organization of Securities Commissions’ (IOSCO) Retail Investors Committee (C8) plenary meeting in Bucharest, representing CNV and presenting the regulator’s ongoing work on investor protection and financial education. The agenda covered investor resilience, the use of artificial intelligence in communications and teams, and financial education approaches including strategy, implementation and age-adapted training models, alongside discussions on World Investor Week 2026. Salvatierra highlighted CNV initiatives such as its Financial Education Program, training sessions and conferences, framing informed investing as supporting a more transparent and efficient market with investor protection as a central focus. CNV also described the C8 plenary as a global forum for securities regulators to address investor protection, education and fraud prevention, and noted that participation facilitates access to international practices, engagement in specialised working groups and stronger institutional links with peer and multilateral bodies.
