The National Bank of Moldova said Governor Anca Dragu met participants in the Modern Finance School programme and presented certificates to those who had carried out financial education and public information activities. The programme is run with the National Bank of Romania and the Bucharest University of Economic Studies, and is aimed at students from the Academy of Economic Studies of Moldova, journalism and communication students at Moldova State University, and economic journalists. Following the programme, students and master's students from the Academy of Economic Studies of Moldova delivered accessible lectures on economic topics to school pupils, young people, pensioners and other people living in rural areas. Participants from Moldova State University who work in newsrooms produced explanatory journalism on economic issues of public interest. The certificates carry the signatures of the governors of the National Bank of Moldova and the National Bank of Romania, as well as the rectors of the Bucharest University of Economic Studies and the Academy of Economic Studies of Moldova. The programme was launched in 2023 and combines theoretical and practical financial training with cultural activities and thematic visits.
