The Portuguese Securities Commission (CMVM) has launched the seventh edition of Portugal FinLab, opening a new application round for projects to be presented to Portugal’s three financial sector regulators for analysis and follow-up discussion. Applications are open until 13 February. Candidates selected for pitch day will be notified by 2 March and will present their projects to the regulators on 17 and 18 March 2026. Up to five projects will be selected for analysis and announced on 13 April, after which participants will receive an analysis report and have the opportunity to meet with the regulators to discuss the conclusions and clarify questions. The launch event was hosted at Banco de Portugal in Lisbon with board members from the Insurance and Pension Funds Supervision Authority, the CMVM and Banco de Portugal.
