The Bank of Albania reported that it hosted representatives of the Central Bank of the Republic of Kosovo on 4–5 June 2025 for working meetings with its resolution experts, initiating ongoing cooperation aimed at exchanging experience on bank resolution and emergency intervention. The visit, requested by the Central Bank of Kosovo following the establishment of its resolution and emergency intervention functions, focused on technical discussions on Albania’s resolution legal framework and planning process, identification of critical functions and public interest assessment, banks’ resolvability assessments, minimum requirements for regulatory capital instruments and eligible liabilities, coordination with the Supervision Department and other domestic and international authorities, and the operation of the Resolution Fund. The Bank of Albania indicated it will support the Central Bank of Kosovo in developing its resolution capacities and remains open to further cooperative projects.
