The Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina published data showing current transfers reached a record BAM 5.92 billion in 2025, with BAM 4.46 billion coming from personal transfers (remittances) and BAM 1.46 billion from other current transfers. Compared with the previous year, total current transfers increased by around BAM 230 million, driven by an approximately BAM 290 million rise in remittances, while other current transfers fell by around BAM 63 million. The release underscored the role of diaspora inflows in supporting household income and consumption and linked the steady growth in transfers to foreign exchange reserves, balance of payments stability and overall financial stability.
