Key indicators showed that the number of POS terminals rose to 170,149 between Jan. 1 and Feb. 28, while activated cards reached 5,531,507. ATM card transactions totaled 4,047,780 worth LYD 1,891,455,304, and POS transactions reached 91,931,265 worth LYD 11,735,207,353. Banking application subscriptions across banks rose to 4,300,280, generating 43,304,277 transactions worth LYD 47,899,278,948.530 through mobile applications. Instant payment services LYPay and OnePay reached LYD 44,638,566,521. E-wallets totaled 187,335, with 6,096 acceptance points and 89,808 transactions worth LYD 8,211,379. The meeting also assessed growth in POS deployment, electronic transaction volumes, and usage by citizens and the private sector. The governor called for easier access to electronic banking services for individuals and companies, alongside periodic performance improvements to meet rising demand.
