The Brazilian Superintendence of Private Insurance (SUSEP), represented by Superintendent Alessandro Octaviani, took part in the XVI Risk and Insurance Management Seminar in São Paulo organised by the Brazilian Risk Management Association (ABGR), focused on organisational risk management and the legal framework for the insurance market. During a first-day panel on the role and outlook of sector institutions under the new legal framework, Octaviani outlined what he described as significant changes introduced by Law No. 15.040 of 2024, including for risk management. In his remarks, he said the law could elevate the insurance contract and support sector growth and the closing of insurance protection gaps; the seminar agenda also covered climate events, credit risk, strategic ESG management, governance and data protection, and issues related to specific lines of insurance.
