The Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan reported on the 20th International Shari’ah Scholars Forum on implementing Islamic banking and confirmed that, as part of the event, it signed a Memorandum of Understanding with INCEIF to deepen cooperation on Islamic finance. The memorandum covers collaboration on training programmes, courses and seminars at the Central Bank, as well as joint research in Islamic finance. It also includes an agreement to translate four Islamic finance books into Uzbek and make them available to users. The forum’s first-day discussions focused on classifying contracts, their application in modern practice, and structuring contracts using transparent, unified criteria, with international experts linking these processes to client trust and the development of Islamic finance. The forum continues on September 18 with sessions on new directions and current issues in Islamic finance.
