The Central Bank of Slovenia, working with the Ministry of Finance, held an open day to mark the official start of its financial literacy projects for children and young people in the current school year. The event hosted more than 400 students and teachers and included remarks from Acting Governor Primož Dolenc and Finance Minister Klemen Boštjančič on the opportunities and risks linked to the modern digital environment. The programme focuses on two initiatives: Masters of the Digital Future, held under the patronage of President Nataša Pirc Musar and featuring an international element, and Bodi FIN, organised jointly with the Ministry of Finance. Masters of the Digital Future centres on the euro in the digital age and will end with an international debate final in May with active participation from other central banks, while Bodi FIN addresses financial issues related to digital security and will conclude in March next year with a nationwide school competition testing financial knowledge.
