The Luxembourg Ministry of Finance reported that Finance Minister Gilles Roth travelled to Paris on 5 June 2025 to mark the launch of the Finance Europe label alongside France, Spain, Germany, the Netherlands and Estonia, an initiative led by French Finance Minister Éric Lombard. The launch event brought together senior representatives from the European financial sector, including banks, insurers and major professional associations. Roth participated in a roundtable on redirecting savings to finance growth and innovation in Europe, framing the label as a step intended to support greater investment in European assets and competitiveness. The event took place as part of the second meeting of the Competitiveness Laboratory, an initiative launched by Spain’s Carlos Cuerpo under which groups of member states can voluntarily test projects aimed at deepening European capital markets. The third Competitiveness Laboratory meeting will be held in Luxembourg in autumn 2025.
