The National Bank of Romania announced that Mugur Isărescu, the bank’s governor, was voted to take over the presidency of the Center of Excellence in Finance Governing Board on behalf of Romania at the board’s annual meeting in Skopje on June 22. He will replace Gordana Dimitrieska-Kochoska, finance minister of North Macedonia, under the CEF’s annual rotating presidency arrangement. Romania is a CEF member and is represented in the organization by the National Bank of Romania and the Ministry of Finance. At the meeting, members also reaffirmed their cooperation commitments, including support for the organization’s strategic program, which is based on international institutional collaboration and focuses on professional training in public finance and central banking.
