The Council of Europe’s Committee of Experts on the Evaluation of Anti-Money Laundering Measures and the Financing of Terrorism (MONEYVAL) Chair Nicola Muccioli held an exchange of views with the Council of Europe’s Committee of Ministers and presented MONEYVAL’s annual report, highlighting its 2024 work against money laundering and terrorist financing and the conclusion of the fifth round of mutual evaluations. Looking ahead, the update noted that the sixth evaluation round, launched in 2024, has progressed with the adoption of Latvia’s Mutual Evaluation Report in June 2025 at a joint MONEYVAL/FATF plenary meeting. The Chair also acknowledged cooperation with international partners, Council of Europe bodies and member states.
