The U.S. Securities & Exchange Commission announced that Antonia M. Apps, Deputy Director of the Division of Enforcement (Northeast), will leave the agency effective 1 December 2025. Apps was appointed Acting Deputy Director of the Division of Enforcement in January 2025 and later became Deputy Director (Northeast), with responsibility for the New York, Boston, Philadelphia, and Chicago regional offices. She previously served as Regional Director of the New York Regional Office from January 2023 to January 2025, overseeing an office of more than 600 staff and leading the region’s examination and enforcement programs; during that period, the New York office brought more stand-alone enforcement actions and completed more examinations than any other SEC office, hired more staff than in any prior two-year period in its history, and increased investor education and outreach activity.
