The Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan hosted an International Monetary Fund (IMF) mission led by Yasser Abdih to discuss Uzbekistan’s current macroeconomic environment, ongoing monetary policy measures, and the condition and key indicators of the banking system. The talks also covered prospects for strengthening cooperation with the IMF, including potential technical assistance and expert consultations. Further meetings are planned under the IMF mission’s agenda with the Central Bank’s deputy chairpersons and relevant departments to deepen discussions in key areas. Additional engagements with ministries, government agencies, and commercial banks are also scheduled within the framework of the mission.
